Do I have to pay for testing?

No, our services are free of charge for patients and most site sponsors. In almost all cases, we are able to bill insurance and there is no cost to you or the patient for COVID-19 testing. For uninsured patients, the cost of PCR testing will be billed to the HRSA COVID-19 Uninsured Program.

 

Is an appointment needed?

No. An appointment is not needed once we are on-site.

You can register before you get to the site from the link provided to you by your organization. Once you get to the site, find the check in QR code, and scan it to check in.

Can I arrive on foot/walk-up?

Yes. Nearly all of our sites can accommodate walk-up COVID-19 testing, however, pre-registration is recommended.

 

Is Pala Diagnostics CLIA-certified?

Yes, Pala Diagnostics is CLIA (Clinic Laboratory Improvements Amendments)-certified, and both our rapid antigen and PCR tests are EUA-authorized.

 

I'm traveling. Which test is best for me?

The test that is most suitable for your travel needs will depend on where you are traveling to. Patients should research the testing requirement for their trip prior to selecting a test. In almost all cases, you will need a laboratory-based PCR test within 72 hours of your departure time.

I need COVID-19 travel testing as soon as possible. Can you help?

Yes. Our rapid antigen tests provide results in as little as 20 minutes, while our PCR tests provide results within 24 hours. Please review your airline and destination's travel requirements to help you determine which test you need.
